McCormick in the Bullpen of The Freshmen 50
McCormick is a Force for Real, Responsible and Accountable Change
May 25, 2010
Appleton, Wisconsin – Terri McCormick continues to demonstrate her strength in Wisconsin’s Eighth District. Devoted to bringing responsibility and reform to Washington, McCormick announced today that she is in the bullpen of “The Freshmen 50″ – an independent Political Action Committee focused on electing 50 new fiscally and ethically responsible citizens to Congress in 2010.
Brian Miller, an Air Force veteran and candidate for Congress in Arizona’s 8th District, founded The Freshmen 50 in early 2009. The Freshmen 50 has identified candidates from across the country who are focused on common sense business practices including:
- Applying the Law Equally
- Limiting Terms in Office
- Enforcing Congressional Ethics – including mandatory tax and expense audits and unleashing an ethics committee
- Reading Bills Publicly
- Reforming the Federal Tax Code
- Balancing the Budget
Congressional candidate Terri McCormick understands the importance of accountability and has devoted herself to being the voice of her constituents. “I am humbled by the opportunity of becoming one of The Freshmen 50 and I will work hard with other reform-minded Members of Congress because I will be counting on them to uphold our American values, just as the people of northeast Wisconsin are counting on me,” stated McCormick.
McCormick’s passion is to bring government back to the people and represent her neighbors in the Eighth district. “It’s time for leadership that is more responsive to the people in this country so that we can finally turn our economy and money crisis around,” explained McCormick.
