APPLETON, Wisconsin – Former State Representative Terri McCormick received support today from Wisconsin conservative leader Bob Dohnal, the former Chairman of the Republican Party of Milwaukee County and the publisher of The Wisconsin Conservative Digest. According to Dohnal,
“As the publisher of The Wisconsin Conservative Digest, I know a conservative candidate when I see one. And as the leader of the Ronald Reagan campaigns in Wisconsin throughout the 1980s as well as a former Republican County Chairman, I know what it takes to win elections.
Terri McCormick has a sterling resume and a large base of support. There’s a lot to like about Terri and I think voters can identify with her because she has guts and tells the truth. I believe she is going to win this race. Terri McCormick will make an excellent Congresswoman for the Eighth District.”
McCormick’s legislative priorities in Congress include efforts to repeal Obamacare, cut government spending, reduce the national debt, increase transparency and accountability measures, and introduce federal term limits legislation.
Representative McCormick served in the Wisconsin Assembly, representing district 56 including parts of Appleton and Oshkosh, from 2001 to 2007. She upheld her original term limits pledge of three terms to run for Congress. McCormick was also a Wisconsin Truman Scholar nominee and currently owns a small business in the Appleton area.
“I am so pleased that a conservative leader like Bob Dohnal has placed his trust in this campaign for the people of the Eighth district,” said Terri McCormick in response to news of the endorsement. “I look forward to working to slash government spending in Washington,” she concluded.
