Terri McCormick Receives Endorsement from Wisconsin Republican Leader Terry Kohler

Sheboygan, WI - Republican Eighth Congressional district candidate Terri McCormick, a former State Representative who pioneered innovative legislation to decrease the cost of health care and reduce regulations on small businesses in the legislature, has received an endorsement from longtime Republican Party benefactor Terry J. Kohler of Sheboygan. Mr. Kohler, who has a distinguished career in leadership and business, was most recently one of two elected Republican National Committee members from Wisconsin.
“I have known Terri McCormick for many years, and think most highly of her legislative record in Madison. She has been a real bell ringer down there, and I know she will repeat that perseverance and persuasiveness in Washington,” said Mr. Kohler in his endorsement letter. Mr. Kohler is a U.S. Air Force-trained jet fighter pilot and outdoor sports enthusiast. He is President of Windway Capital Corp., a holding company with multiple subsidiaries.
Mr. Kohler and his wife Mary have seven grown children and 13 grandchildren. Terry’s father served as Wisconsin Governor from 1951 to 1957 and his grandfather served as Wisconsin Governor from 1929 to 1931.
He has been intimately involved in Wisconsin politics, having run for office twice in the 1980s. In his letter of endorsement, Mr. Kohler said, “I am not in doubt [that Terri] will win the primary … and the general election as well.”
In response, Terri McCormick said, “Terry Kohler’s support means so much to me. Terry and Mary Kohler have such distinguished records of charitable giving and service to others. Wisconsin is truly lucky to have them, I am truly honored by their faith in me and in this campaign to return common sense government to the Eighth district.”
Terri McCormick served in the Wisconsin Assembly, representing district 56 including parts of Appleton and Oshkosh, from 2001 to 2007. She is a Truman scholar nominee, teacher, and small business owner.
