Terri McCormick on Common Sense Money Policy
Terri McCormick believes in accountability and transparency for all government agencies, including the Federal Reserve. The Fed regulates the banking system in the U.S., including lending rates and financial services to the government.
Terri supports Congressman Ron Paul’s efforts to audit the Federal Reserve to ensure that checks and balances are in place to safeguard the our monetary system. She believes that the free market can do a better job at setting interest rates and ensuring a stable financial system than unelected bureaucrats. The need for a strong dollar is more critical at this time in history given the recent near collapse of the banking system in addition to the Wall Street debacle, the housing crisis, and the highest unemployment rate since the Great Depression.
Auditing the Federal Reserve, while not the only solution, is a good interim step to make a little known, but very important, unregulated federal agency accountable to the American people. In addition, Terri McCormick supports money policies that are transparent and honest and will work to empowering the American people to learn more about the Federal Reserve.
